There are trips where you relax.
There are trips where you explore.
And then there are journeys that completely reset you.

This Guatemala experience was designed for people who want more than just a “retreat” or a checklist vacation. It’s for travelers who want to feel connected — to nature, to culture, to themselves, and to the people around them.

Day by Day Experience

Over 7 days, you’ll wake up to sunrise yoga above volcanic lakes, hike through mountains before dawn, experience ancient Mayan wellness traditions, visit colorful local villages, learn from indigenous communities, explore colonial streets, taste incredible local food, and witness one of the most powerful natural spectacles in the world — an active volcano erupting in front of your eyes.

Day 0
Arrive whenever you want. We've got you.
Guatemala City Arrival
We ask everyone to arrive the day before so that Saturday morning we start fresh — as a group, not a collection of strangers dragging jet-lagged suitcases. Your room at Hotel Barceló Guatemala City (right next to the airport) is already waiting for you. Come at noon, come at midnight — whatever works. Just get here, sleep well, and be ready for what's next.
Day 1
The lake will change how you see the world. Literally.
Guatemala City → Lake Atitlán
Breakfast together at the hotel — first time the whole group sits at the same table. Then at 9am we load up and start our journey to the most beautiful lake in Central America.
Lake Atitlán sits at 1,560 meters above sea level, cradled between three massive volcanoes — Atitlán, Tolimán, and San Pedro.
We cross to our retreat center by boat. Lunch with the lake as your backdrop, a slow afternoon to swim, explore, breathe. In the evening, dinner together, followed by our first wellness experience — a Sound Healing session. Tibetan bowls, vibrations moving through the body, the sound of the lake at night. This is the perfect way to ground yourself, disconnect from stress, and settle into the rhythm of the journey ahead.
Day 2
Sunrise yoga, San Juan La Laguna & Temazcal
We start the day with sunrise yoga overlooking the lake as the volcanoes slowly emerge through the morning light.
After breakfast, we take a boat across the lake to the colorful village of San Juan La Laguna — one of the most artistic and authentic communities around Atitlán.
We’ll visit the beautiful Mirador Kaqasiiwaan viewpoint, walk through vibrant streets filled with murals and local art, and visit a women’s weaving cooperative where you’ll learn how traditional textiles are naturally dyed and handmade using ancestral techniques passed down through generations.
After returning to the retreat center for lunch and some time to relax, we experience one of the highlights of the trip: a traditional temazcal ceremony. A temazcal is an ancient Mayan steam ritual designed to cleanse both body and mind. It’s intense, grounding, emotional, and deeply restorative.
Dinner and early rest after a powerful day.
Day 3
Indian Nose Sunrise Hike, Nature & Cacao Ceremony
Before sunrise, we begin one of the most unforgettable experiences of the trip — the hike to Indian Nose.
As the sky slowly changes color above the lake and volcanoes, you’ll understand why this place is considered sacred by many locals.
The reward at the top feels surreal:
  • clouds below you, volcanoes in the distance, and golden light covering Lake Atitlán.
After returning for breakfast and some well-deserved rest, we spend the afternoon exploring the beautiful Atitlán Nature Reserve with its hanging bridges, waterfalls, jungle paths, and wildlife.
In the evening, we gather for a cacao ceremony — a peaceful and heart-opening ritual rooted in ancient Mesoamerican traditions.
A beautiful way to reflect, connect, and slow down.
Day 4

Antigua & Colonial Guatemala

After yoga and breakfast, we leave the lake behind and head toward the colonial gem of Antigua Guatemala.
On the way, we stop at a macadamia farm where we’ll learn about the production process, taste local products, and enjoy a unique lunch experience surrounded by nature.
Then comes Antigua — one of the most beautiful colonial towns in Latin America.
Cobblestone streets. Volcano views. Rooftop restaurants. Ruins hidden behind colorful walls. Candlelit courtyards. Live music drifting through the evening air.
After check-in, we explore the city with a local guide who will share the history, legends, and hidden stories behind Antigua’s iconic streets and churches.
Dinner tonight is at ITZAM — a stylish and atmospheric restaurant perfect for our first evening in the city.
After dinner, you can relax at the hotel or explore Antigua’s vibrant nightlife.
Day 5
Hobbitenango, Coffee & Chocolate
Today is playful, creative, and full of experiences.

We begin with a visit to Hobbitenango and Altamira Oriole — two mountain parks with panoramic volcano views, giant swings, fantasy-style landscapes, and incredible photo spots.
Afterward, we have lunch at Caoba Farms Restaurant — a beautiful organic farm-to-table restaurant surrounded by greenery.

In the afternoon we visit Finca La Azotea, where we’ll learn about Guatemala’s world-famous coffee culture during a plantation tour.
Then comes one of the most fun activities of the trip: a hands-on chocolate workshop where you’ll create your own chocolate from scratch.

We return to Antigua for free time before dinner at Welten Restaurant.

Day 6
Acatenango Volcano Expedition (optional)
This is the day that changes people.
For those choosing the Acatenango experience, we begin early in the morning and prepare for one of the most rewarding hikes in Central America. The climb is challenging — but every step is worth it.
By evening, we reach our cabins on Acatenango Volcano.
And then it happens.
Directly across from you stands Volcán de Fuego — one of the most active volcanoes in the world — erupting in real time.
Lava. Explosions. Smoke. Fire lighting up the night sky.
No photo can truly prepare you for this moment.

Sleeping on the volcano with eruptions happening in front of you is something you remember for life.

Day 7
Goodbye Guatemala
We hike back down the volcano in the morning and return to Antigua.

Time for coffee, hugs, photos, and saying goodbye to new friends after a week filled with unforgettable experiences.

You arrive home not only with beautiful photos — but with stories, memories, emotions, and a feeling that you truly experienced Guatemala.

I visited the cartoon Coco in real life

It's hard to imagine how unique the Day of the Dead tour was organized by Anastasia. This is not about studying the culture of Mexico, it is about “living in the culture.” It was a legendary 5 days of travel and every day we visited unique places, learned local history, ate delicious food, and immersed ourselves in the local culture and Mexican traditions in general. I just want to say a huge thank you, Nastya. From the trip, I took with me not just photos of the places I visited, but great memories and emotions that will always be with me.

I had the pleasure of joining Ricardo's Day of the Dead tour, and it exceeded all my expectations! From start to finish, the experience was nothing short of magical. I had always been fascinated by the rich cultural traditions of Dia de los Muertos, and this tour truly brought it to life. Additionally, this is the most authentic tour in Mexico because you are visiting the original towns that originated the entire Day of the Dead traditions and its people still safeguard those traditions to date.

Ricardo was exceptional - knowledgeable, passionate, and engaging. He shared incredible insights into the history and significance of the Day of the Dead festivities, making the experience not only fun but also educational.

The itinerary was perfectly planned, allowing us to participate in various traditional activities and cities that started it all. Exploring ofrendas, the giant skull art installations, learning about the significance of marigolds, and witnessing the vibrant festivals and the Catrina fashion show, were some of the highlights. The tour struck the right balance between being respectful of the cultural significance and letting us embrace the joyous spirit of the occasion.

Furthermore, the local artisans and communities we interacted with were warm and welcoming. It felt like we were genuinely a part of the celebration rather than mere observers.

The attention to detail was commendable. The logistics were well-organized, and the tour operators ensured our comfort and safety throughout the journey.

Overall, this Day of the Dead tour was a life-enriching experience. I returned home with a deeper understanding and appreciation for Mexican culture. I highly recommend this tour to anyone seeking authentic and unforgettable celebration of Dia de los Muertos!

Thank you to Ricardo for creating such a memorable and immersive experience. I would give this tour 10 out of 10!

It was an unforgettable trip in a warm and friendly company, filled with a huge number of activities. Every day we learned new things about Mexico and visited new places. Day of the Dead spent on Janitzio Island is a truly unique experience that is difficult to compare with anything else. I wholeheartedly recommend this tour, especially if you are a fan of the cartoon Coco and the culture of Mexico!

How lucky I was with the organization of the day off! I have been in the city of Playa del Carmen for 2 months, and during this time, I did not arrange mini-travels for myself. Anastasia was recommended to me - I applied immediately, and it was the right decision! After 2 days, I went to the island of Cozumel, where I felt an unforgettable feeling of freedom for the first time in my life, especially when I raced on a scooter along empty roads. Hot air mixed with a pleasant, cool breeze.

The first destination was a national reserve, where I rested on the cleanest beach with tricolor water and a complete absence of algae (and at that time, there were tons of algae on public beaches, and I even disdained to go into the water). Then I went for a walk along the lake where crocodiles live, but I did not dare to swim there. On the way back, I climbed the lighthouse, from which a great view of the entire island opened up; taking beautiful photos, I went to the next point: snorkeling; I saw shoals of fish and starfish while there were few people nearby!

I had dinner with a signature lobster burrito overlooking the sea, sat for a long time, and admired the sunset. I stocked up on spicy habanera sauces and happily sailed on the last ferry voyage, admiring the stars to the sound of live music. A lot of time has passed since that Saturday, and I often remember it with pleasure! Feel free to contact Anastasia - I am sure that she will make you an itinerary based on your needs. Remember that emotions are priceless!

Well, what can I say… It was one of the brightest trips of my life!!! ☺️

Cancun - Mexico - Guadelajara - Tequila - Testla Guerres - San Cristopal - Coast with whales

Canyons, rivers, mountain Chiapas, agave fields and a tequila factory, lakes, cenotes, authentic settlements, hot air balloons, city ruins, Mayan pyramids, whales… 🤯

Anastasia, thank you so much for this adventure! For a unique individual tour, for working out the route, for maximum involvement and attention to every detail. This trip is something that will be remembered forever. You really managed to fall in love with this wonderful country in a few weeks and made me miss it after leaving. I will definitely be back!! Here are some photos from the trip as a keepsake 🙂
