Guatemala Small Group Tour Itinerary

ARRIVAL DAY — NOVEMBER 27
Guatemala City

Arrive whenever you want. We've got you.

We ask everyone to arrive the day before so that Saturday morning we start fresh - as a group, not a collection of strangers dragging jet-lagged suitcases.
Your room at Hotel Barcelo Guatemala City (right next to the airport) is already waiting for you. Come at noon, come at midnight - whatever works. Just get here, sleep well, and be ready for what's
next.
DAY 1 — NOVEMBER 28
Guatemala City - Lake Atitlan

The lake will change how you see the world.

Breakfast together at the hotel - first time the whole group sits at the same table. Then at 9am we board a private van to journey to the most beautiful lake in Central America. Lake Atitlán sits at 1,560 meters surrounded by volcanoes and Mayan communities of San Juan - Atitlán, Tolimán, and San Pedro.
We arrive to our retreat center by boat. Lunch with the lake as your backdrop, a slow afternoon to swim, explore, breathe. In the evening, dinner together followed by our first wellness experience - a Sound Healing session. Tibetan bowls, vibrations moving through the body, the sound of the lake at night.
This is the perfect way to ground yourself, disconnect from stress, and settle into the rhythm of the journey ahead.
DAY 2 — NOVEMBER 29
Lake Atitlán - San Juan La Laguna

Sunrise Yoga, San Juan La Laguna & Temazcal

Begin the day with sunrise yoga overlooking Lake Atitlán as the volcanoes emerge through the morning light. We then cross the lake by boat to the colorful village of San Juan La Laguna - one of the most artistic and authentic communities around Atitlán.
We'll visit the beautiful Mirador Kaqasiiwaan viewpoint, walk through vibrant streets filled with murals and local art, and visit a women's weaving cooperative where you'll learn how traditional textiles are naturally dyed and handmade using ancestral techniques passed down through generations.
After returning to the retreat center, enjoy lunch and some time to relax before our traditional temazcal ceremony. This ancient Mayan steam ritual is designed to cleanse both body and mind. It's intense, grounding, emotional, and deeply
restorative.
Dinner together and early rest after a powerful day.
DAY 3 — NOVEMBER 30
Volcano Views, Natural Beauty & Ancestral Traditions

Indian Nose Sunrise Hike, Nature & Cacao Ceremony

Before sunrise, we begin one of the most unforgettable experiences of the trip - the hike to Indian Nose. As the sky slowly changes color above the lake and volcanoes, you'll understand why this place is considered sacred by many locals.
The reward at the top feels surreal: clouds below you, volcanoes in the distance, and golden light covering Lake Atitlán.
After returning for breakfast and some well-deserved rest, we spend the afternoon exploring the beautiful Atitlan Nature Reserve with its hanging bridges, waterfalls, jungle paths, and wildlife.
In the evening, we gather for a cacao ceremony - a peaceful and heart-opening ritual rooted in ancient Mesoamerican traditions. A beautiful way to reflect, connect, and slow down.
DAY 4 — DECEMBER 1
Lake Atitlán - Antigua, Guatemala

Antigua & Colonial Guatemala

Today we travel from the peaceful shores of Lake Atitlan to the colonial charm of Antigua Guatemala. The drive offers some of the most spectacular views in Guatemala - volcanoes rising in the distance, lush landscapes, and traditional villages nestled in the highlands.
Upon arrival, we settle into our beautiful boutique hotel in the heart of Antigua.
In the afternoon, we explore this UNESCO World Heritage city. Cobblestone streets, Spanish colonial architecture, hidden courtyards, and centuries of history - it's like stepping into a living museum.
This evening, we gather for a city walk, a meal together, and a moment to reflect on how far we've come. Tomorrow, we begin a meaningful experience that will bring us even deeper into Guatemalan culture and connection.
DAY 5 — DECEMBER 2
Antigua, Guatemala

Hobbitenango, Coffee & Chocolate

Today is a playful, creative, soul-fed day of experiences. We begin with a visit to Hobbitenango and Coffee plantation, two unique and magical places nestled in the mountains. Enjoy breathtaking views of the volcanoes, peaceful nature, and a cup
of locally grown coffee.
Afterward, we head out to Cacao Farm for a hands-on chocolate workshop where you'll learn about the ancient traditions of cacao and create your own chocolate from bean to bar. The experience is not just delicious - it's a celebration of culture, connection, and joy.
We'll return to Antigua in the late afternoon for free time to relax, explore, or enjoy a vibrant dinner at one of the beautiful restaurants.
DAY 6 — DECEMBER 3
Antigua, Guatemala

Final Day in Antigua

Today marks the end of our main Guatemala journey. Those finishing the trip will have their transfer arranged to Guatemala City Airport for their journey home.
For those joining the optional extension, the adventure continues early this morning as we depart Antigua for Acatenango.
DAY 6 — DECEMBER 3
Acatenango, Guatemala

Acatenango & Fuego Volcano Expedition (optional)

This is the day for our amazing people. For those choosing the Acatenango experience, we begin early morning with a preparation for one of the most unforgettable and rewarding hikes in Central America. It's challenging - but every step worth it.
By evening, we reach our cabin on Acatenango Volcano. And then it happens. Right in front of us, across the valley, Volcan de Fuego lights up the night sky.
Lava, explosions, smoke, the glowing city of Antigua below. It's intense, humbling, magical. A moment of connection that words can barely capture. We spend the night under a sky full of stars and memories that will stay with us forever.
DAY 7 — DECEMBER 4
Acatenango - Guatemala City Airport

Sunrise on Acatenango & Journey Home

We wake before sunrise for our final moments on Acatenango, surrounded by unforgettable views of Guatemala’s volcanic landscape. After breakfast, we begin our descent and make our way back down the volcano.
From there, we arrange your transfer to Guatemala City Airport. Tired, dusty and probably very ready for a shower — but with one final adventure to remember long after Guatemala.
You arrive home not only with beautiful pictures - but with stories, memories, and a renewed sense of yourself. Thank you for trusting us with this journey.
Hasta luego, Guatemala.
