  • Explore a Fairytale Mining Town
    Wander the cobbled streets of Mineral del Monte, a Pueblo Mágico full of charm, colorful houses, and British mining heritage.
  • Marvel at the Basaltic Prisms
    Witness the towering Prismas Basálticos, natural geometric rock columns formed by ancient lava and waterfalls.
  • Descend into a Historic Mine
    Go underground with a guided tour of Mina de Acosta and learn the story of silver, tunnels, and British miners in the 19th century.

Itinerary
  • Before Lunch Time
    8:00 AM – Departure from CDMX
    We’ll meet at Parque España and head northeast toward Hidalgo. The ride is scenic and comfortable, with bottled water provided.
    10:00 AM – Mineral del Monte Walk & Pastes Tasting
    Upon arrival, we’ll explore the colorful main square and streets. Try Hidalgo’s iconic pastes at the most renowned local spot: Pastes El Portal.
    11:30 AM – Mina de Acosta Guided Tour
    Step inside one of the oldest silver mines in the region. Our expert local guide will take us through tunnels and history.
    1:00 PM – Visit the Panteón Inglés
    Set in a pine forest with a mysterious fog, this English cemetery tells forgotten stories of miners and wanderers.
  • After Lunch Time
    2:00 PM – Lunch at Hacienda Santa María Regla
    Surrounded by waterfalls and volcanic rocks, this majestic hacienda is a window into colonial Mexico and mining history. Lunch included.
    4:00 PM – Basaltic Prisms of Santa María Regla
    These towering hexagonal rock formations are one of Mexico’s most underrated natural wonders.
    5:00 PM – Stroll through Huasca de Ocampo
    We’ll wrap up the day with a relaxing walk in Mexico’s very first Pueblo Mágico, with time to grab coffee, local sweets, or artisan crafts.
    6:30 PM – Return to Mexico City
    We’ll be back in CDMX around 8:00 PM, just in time to get ready for calm Sunday.
